Sheena BunnellDr. Sheena S. Bunnell ~ (at UMF since 1992), Professor of Business-Economics; Bachelor of Commerce, Jesus and Mary College, Delhi, India, 1985; M.B.A., Plymouth State College of UNH, 1988; M.S. in Economics,1991, and Ph.D. in Economics, Florida State University, 1995.  

Dr. Bunnell's teaching interests include Health Economics, Macroeconomics, Consumer Behavior, Managerial Economics, and Money and Banking. She is committed to under-graduate student-related research and has brought in substantial grant funding involving health economics. Her particular expertise includes her service as an economic policy advisor to Maine’s Medicaid program.

Waleck DalpourDr. Shahrokh Waleck Dalpour ~  (at UMF since 1987), Professor of Business; B.S., National University of Iran, 1974; M.B.A., University of Northern Colorado, 1979; Ed.D. University of Northern Colorado, 1987. Post Doctoral in International Human Resource Management, University of Northern Colorado, 1996. Post Doctoral in Multinational Corporate Environments, Idaho State University,1991.

Waleck teaches a variety of business and management courses including International Business, Human Resources Management,  Organizational Behavior, Small Business Management, Marketing, and Strategic Management. Waleck speaks a few languages, has traveled and worked worldwide, and is a local and international consultant in business and management. He conducts lecture courses nearly every year at the Universite du Maine at Lemans, France. As well as cooperating with Fatih University in Turkey, and University of Moscow in Russia. He has served often on the Faculty Senate, as well as the Chair of Faculty Development Committee. He has been involved as an advisor for International Studies and International Students. Waleck was appointed as Ambassador of International Trade for Governor Angus King and his teaching as Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Business at Southern New Hampshire University.

Wendy HarperDr. Wendy L. Harper  ~ (At UMF since 2002) Associate Professor of Economics.  BA, 1990 Bates College; MA. 1995, Ph.D. 2000 University of New Hampshire.  

Wendy teaches introductory and intermediate courses in microeconomic theory as well and international economics, public economics and industrial organization.  Her research interests are environmental and natural resource economics.

Frank engertDr. Frank M. Engert ~ (at UMF since 1995), Professor of Business; B.Sc., 1973, McMaster University;M.B.A., 1975 McMaster University; M.Sc., 1989, Niagara University; Ph.D., State University of New York at Buffalo, 1995.

Frank is responsible for the courses in Service Management, Business Applications of Technology, Entrepreneurship and Accounting.  His research interests deal with entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship.  He has also provided consulting services in financial management for a range of private and public sector organizations.

Tom MaroneyDr Thomas A. Maroney ~ (at UMF since 1982), Associate Professor of Business; A.B., Fordham University, 1966; M.P.A., Syracuse University, 1971; M.A., Syracuse University, 1977; J.D., Western New England College, 1981; M.B.A. Western New England College, 1982.

 

Tom teaches a broad range of upper-level business courses including Management, Marketing, Business Law, International Business Law, and Marketing Management. .

Dr. John D. Messier ~ Assistant Professor of Economics; B.S., Stockton College; Ph.D., American University.

John's areas of expertise are in the Economics of Developing Countries, Informal Labor Markets, Microfinance, Quantitative Methods, Experimental Economics and Feminist Economics.

Dr. Clyde G. Mitchell ~ Associate Professor of Business; B.S., University of Cape Town; M.S., University of Natal; Ph.D., University of KwaZulu-Natal.

 

Clyde teaches courses in business ethics, accounting, and corporate finance. The areas of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility and Reporting, Accounting teaching techniques at colleges, and Greenhouse Gas Reporting are among his interests and current research.
